Lily Gladstone, Ayo Edebiri, Natalie Portman and Issa Rae had some of the best beauty looks of the night, but the big beauty news that set trend-followers’ tongues wagging was the hair: Short and dramatic (Greta Gerwig, Julia Garner, Florence Pugh), sleek and center-parted (Portman, Elizabeth Olsen, Julianne Moore) and unfussy with a slight flip at the ends (Emma Stone, Edebiri, America Ferrera).
Here are three of the standout looks of the night, including the exact products the glam squads used to nail their clients’ gorgeous hair.

After colorist Matt Rez created a dimensional icy blonde shade throughout, hairstylist Adir Abergel designed a multi-faceted look that included twists up the back and a pompadour on top. Abergel said the look helped to elongate the appearance of his client’s neck. He used products from his own Virtue haircare line, including the Volumizing Primer to give hair a boost and the 6-in-1 Styling Paste to add shine and movement.

Hairstylist Aviva Jansen Perea wanted her client’s hair to have an undone, tousled texture, as opposed to the sleek bob she debuted at a Critics’ Choice Association event last month. To get the Barbie star’s look, she used Briogeo products, including the Leave-In Conditioner and Volumizing Blow Dry Spray, then used Dyson tools to dry and brush the hair: the Airwrap Multi-styler, the Round Volumizing Brush and the Corrale Straightener.

Hairstylist Sheridan Ward said this look was inspired by a Grecian goddess. But the steps and products to achieve it were incredibly simple. Before blow-drying damp hair, he spritzed on L’Oreal Paris EverPure 21-in-1 Color Caring Spray for heat protection and smoothness. He pulled the hair into a low ponytail and sprayed it with L’Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray, then twisted the ponytail into a bun and fixed it again with the hairspray.
