After popping up for Olympians and TK, Skims is opening its first brick-and-mortar flagship in Los Angeles.

Created by Kim Kardashian and former Frame founder Jens Grede, the fashion label is debuting on the Sunset Strip (8569 W. Sunset Blvd.) next door to Mel’s Drive-In. The billionaire mogul is also tapping her iconic greasy spoon neighbor to celebrate her brand’s first store with the Skims Drive-In — complete with an exclusive menu and Skims’ minimalist design touches throughout the Googie space.

Designed by Rafael de Cárdenas, Ltd., the 4,546-square-foot boutique features Skims’ signature skin-tone palette, striking “a delicate balance between monumental buoyancy and serene intimacy,” per a release.

A 12-foot sculpture by Italian contemporary artist Vanessa Beecroft greets shoppers amidst Skims’ entire lineup of shapewear, loungewear, underwear and accessories ($16 to $228). Expect to find bras (yes, including the nipple-forward silhouette), butt-boosting leggings, bodysuits, thongs, dresses and more from Fits Everybody, Skims Ultimate Body, Soft Lounge, Seamless Sculpt, Cotton and other best-selling collections alongside romantic pieces seen in the brand’s recent wedding campaign starring White Lotus actor Patrick Schwarzenegger and fiancé Abby Champion.

Exclusives include limited-edition “Skims Loves LA” merch benefitting the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and the store will also offer the soon-to-launch NikeSkims before the crossover fitness label expands globally in 2026.

“Opening a Skims store in Los Angeles is a full-circle moment. This city has been a huge part of my life, and having a space here where people can experience the brand in person makes it even more special,” Kardashian says in a release. “We’re just getting started, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead.”

Skims’ restaurant takeover runs from April 2 to 6 and will be open during Mel’s Drive-In’s regular hours. Shoppers get priority access to Skims’ diner pop-up, which will serve up buttermilk pancakes, Nutella French toast, a classic egg breakfast with hashbrowns and bacon, burgers (beef and Impossible patties available), curly fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, milkshakes, brownies and more. Reservations for the Skims Drive-In can be made online here.

The L.A. outpost follows the brand’s March flagship debut in New York and joins a retail rollout that saw stores open in Austin, Atlanta, Aventura, Fla., Georgetown and Houston last year.

Launched in 2019, Skims debuted with shapewear and expanded into men’s offerings in 2023. The brand teamed with the National BAsketball Association and is the official underwear partner for the NBA, WNBA and USA Basketball.

Skims is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
