The World War II-focused follow-up to one of the most expensive (and most awards-decorated) TV miniseries is landing on Apple TV+.

Masters of the Air — featuring an all-star cast that includes Golden Globe-winning actor Austin Butler, Saltburn star Barry Keoghan, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle and Nikolai Kinski — is the latest entry in producers Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman’s WWII TV trilogy, which also includes 2001’s Band of Brothers and 2010’s The Pacific.

Below, find out when to stream Masters of Air online, the episode release schedule and more.

An Apple Originals exclusive, Masters of the Air’s first two episodes will be streaming on Apple TV+ on Friday, Jan. 26. You can watch the series online for free with a seven-day trial to Apple TV+.

Created by John Shiban and John Orloff, Masters of the Air takes place during WWII on the European front and follows the crew of the 100th Bomb Group, a B-17 Flying Fortress unit (nicknamed the “Bloody Hundredth”) that battled German fighter pilots in the sky from behind enemy lines. The series centers on Gale “Buck” Cleven (Golden Globe-winning actor Austin Butler) and John “Bucky” Egan (Callum Turner), as two majors joining the crew in 1943.

The new series also stars Stephen Campbell Moore, Sawyer Spielberg, Isabel May and others.

THR‘s Daniel Fienberg says of the series in his review, “It boasts a mammoth ensemble of young stars in various states of ascension, requires an astonishing quantity of technical effects to achieve its high-flying narrative and, when its key moments land, is equal parts breathtaking, exhilarating and rousingly inspirational.”
