Garmin Lily 2 Smartwatch

Garmin

BEST Smartwatch

Garmin’s updated Lily 2 smartwatch was made for stylish minimalists who want to track everything from their sleep and steps to stress and more — all without a distracting display. A quip tap or wrist twist reveals the hidden screen for tracking fitness and health stats, setting movement reminders, getting tips for sleep and nutrition or making contact-free payments. Wearers can also monitor their sleep stages, calories burned, heart rate, blood oxygen, respiration, menstrual cycle and pregnancy data.

It’s compatible with Apple and Android smartphones, so you can also get email and text notifications, track GPS activity, send alerts to your emergency contacts if an incident is detected, and join fitness challenges with friends.

Mojawa HaptiFit Terra open-ear headphones

Mojawa

Train smarter with these multi-tasking sports headphones.

Runners, swimmers, cyclists and other athletes can train smarter with Mojawa’s soon-to-launch HaptiFit Terra bone conduction headphones. Wearers can safely listen to their favorite tunes (while still hearing the environment around them), track their activity (including steps, pace, distance and routes) and monitor their heart rate. The open-ear headphones have an IPX8 waterproof rating (so you can wear them while swimming), and they automatically play and pause music when taken on or off. The battery life is up to 10 hours, and you can even store 32GB worth of MP3s on the device.

Equipped with an AI trainer, the HaptiFit Terra vibrates during training guidance (such as setting your pace), and you can also use your voice assistant

They’re available for pre-order for $299.99 (or $100 off) through Jan. 31 with code HFPRE1, delivery begins in March.

This smart fitness wheel will supercharge your sweat sessions.

Arriving this spring, Zerowheel’s smart motorized fitness device was designed for users of all levels, and features five modes that help to target specific muscle groups during workouts. It allows you to work your core, arms, shoulders, legs, glutes, chest and back, and you can customize your experience by changing your grip, incline and workout modes. The connected app lets you track your progress, try new exercise programs designed by fitness professionals and compete with others in the ZeroWheel community.

Frenz Brainband

Frenz

BEST Smart sleep headset

A worthy investment for the chronically sleepy.

Shipping starts Jan. 20 for Frenz’s AI-powered Brainband, which features Bluetooth, EEG sensors and bone conduction speakers that deliver customized audio to help you sleep based on your brainwaves, eye and facial movements, heart rate and other data. For instance, if the headset senses that you’ve yet to hit a certain stage of sleep, it will play specific music to help get you there. Already in REM sleep? The device will continue playing audio that keeps you snoozing. The device can also wake you up at the most optimal time of your sleep cycle, and the app offers insights into your habits and data.

The soft headband feels comfortable to wear whether you’re a back or side sleeper, and it fits smaller head sizes too, as we can personally attest. When we tried the Frenz Brainband (as a wide-awake tester) at CES, we saw how the app delivered real-time brainwave data and heard our music automatically adjust to calmer sounds.

10minds Motion Pillow

10minds

BEST pillow

Enjoy snore-free snoozing with this sleep game-changing essential.

Ever wish you could catch yourself in the act of snoring? 10Minds’ Motion Pillow can and will. It can detect when you’re snoring and will automatically inflate (by way of an airbag inside) to adjust your head between 30 to 45 degrees, widening your away and reducing snores. The company points out that there are no magnetic sensors or other electrical components inside the pillow, so there’s no need to worry about potential exposure to electromagnetic waves.

The Motion Pillow also took home a CES 2024 Best of Innovation award.

Moonbird breathing coach

Moonbird

Best Meditation Tool

Meditation and relaxation is more hands-on with this cool new device.

Meditation and breathwork are often easier said than done — and for those who need a more tactile experience, we love Moonbird’s handheld breathing coach for addressing stress and anxiety. (It’s not what you think it looks like.) It serves as a visual and physical reminder to continue your practice: Simply place your thumb on the biometric sensor and give it a light shake, and the device expands and contracts in your hand to guide you through breathwork. You can use it with or without Moonbird’s app, and we like that you can customize the pace of the device’s “breathing.”

CES 2024: Best Fitness, Health and Wellness Tech Products

Best New Oral Care Device

This upgraded custom water flosser gets the job done in under 10 seconds — no pesky mouth strings attached.

If you, like us, don’t exactly look forward to flossing, Proclaim’s Custom-Jet Oral Health System gets the job done in only 7 seconds — no pesky mouth strings attached. You’ll get a 3D digital oral scan (the process takes about 20 minutes) for a custom mouthpiece that ensures a thorough 360-degree deep clean, thanks to 22 ounces of water that precisely jet through the crevices of your teeth. Proclaim says its clinical trials show that the device reduces plaque and gum bleeding and inflammation when paired with a regular brushing routine.

It’s available now and $100 off for a limited time when you use the code LAUNCHOFFER.

CES 2024: Best Fitness, Health and Wellness Tech Products

BEST sex toy

From the Norwegian sexual wellness company that brought you the Handy, the Ohdoki Oh! vulva-focused vibrator lets you get into the groove (and mood) by syncing with your favorite music. The device features ResoTouch technology that uses sound waves to give “localized pleasure with focused vibrations and deeper stimulation,” resulting in endless possibilities based on frequencies and patterns. You can customize your experience with your own patterns, too.

The Ohdoki Oh! is available for pre-order at 50 percent off at Handy.com; it launches this spring, including at Amazon.

Moss Labs Air Purifier and Humidifier

Danielle Directo-Meston/THR

Best Portable Humidifier

A chic terrarium with smart wellness benefits for your home.

Backed by a successful Indiegogo campaign and now in production, South Korean-based company Moss Air’s desktop humidifier and air purifier harnesses the cleaning power of moss, which converts carbon dioxide into oxygen and works as a natural dust filter. Seeing it up close at CES, we loved the sleek, terrarium-like design, giving it an organic-modern look with the benefit of cleaning your air. Unless you forget to mist your greens, the moss panels should last up to 30 years (you can also buy replacement panels that Moss Labs says are made of eco-friendly and natural materials.)

During our demo, the user experience felt intuitive — and dare we say, elevated — with a magnetic ball used to switch between modes by plugging or unplugging the top air release vent. It boasts a battery life of up to eight hours, and is compact and portable for moving from your desk to your bedside. Watching the self-misting feature is quite a meditative activity, too.
