A new year will soon deliver a new Cipriani to the West Coast.

In what marks the hospitality group’s first California location, Cipriani Beverly Hills is set to open Jan. 10, at 362 N. Camden Drive. The space — designed by Florentine architect Michele Bonan who collaborated with Cipriani on other global outposts — reflects a nautical aesthetic with polished wood interiors with steel trim, brown leather chairs, Murano chandeliers, black-and-white fashion photography and green velvet accents.

The location will also host a jazz café designed by Carlos Almada. That space has a different vibe, described as old Hollywood, courtesy of zebra fabrics, arches, palm trees, a grand piano and other accents. The café will be open to diners three nights per week and will also be available to rent for private parties. In a few months, Cipriani Beverly Hills will open a patio for outdoor dining in the spring.

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week with the jazz café open during the evenings on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Menu items will include Cipriani dishes like baked tagliolini with ham, calves liver alla Veneziana, carpaccio alla Cipriani and vanilla meringue cake.

“We are very excited to open in the heart of Beverly Hills, in an area that sees many prestigious art and entertainment neighbors and we are looking forward to serving local and international customers alike,” offered Maggio Cipriani, fourth generation of the Cipriani family and president of Cipriani USA.

On May 13, 1931, Giuseppe Cipriani opened Harry’s Bar on the first floor of an abandoned rope warehouse in Piazza San Marco, Venice. Unchanged since, the space is designated as a national landmark. The Cipriani family expanded in leaps and bounds by building an international hospitality brand with restaurants, event spaces, residential, luxury hotels and private membership clubs in locations including Venice, Milan, New York, Miami, Mexico City, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Monte Carlo, Ibiza, Marbella, Riyadh, Las Vegas, Istanbul, Doha and Bahrain. Aside from the 90210, another new location is set for Punta del Este.
