The Poodle Room Debuts at Fontainebleau Las Vegas
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reveals that Fontainebleau Las Vegas will preview the Poodle Room, a members-only lifestyle and social club atop its 67-story hotel tower on Dec. 31. This will be the first time anyone has seen the Strip from this vantage point as the Fontainebleau is the tallest occupiable building in Nevada. The invite-only A-list first-look pays homage to the original Poodle Room, with its prancing poodle logo on cocktail napkins and swizzle sticks, that served as a celebrity and socialite hangout at the original South Beach resort when it opened in 1954. Expect a mid-century maximal design by Rockwell Group, opulent florals from Jeff Leatham, bars serving cocktails in Baccarat glassware, an omakase sushi experience (which will be open to the public), a cigar room, a conservatory bathed in natural light and as the name suggests, poodle iconography everywhere. Josephine the Poodle is also the Fontainebleau Las Vegas mascot.
While details of the membership remain closely guarded, the application is up and Fontainebleau development president Brett Mufson teases that, “For our members, Poodle Room offers a sense of ownership in an exclusive community where they will want for nothing and enjoy the exceptional service and hospitality that has set Fontainebleau apart.”
Who Is Performing in Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve 2023?
According to Expedia’s 2024 Travel Trends, traveling to see concerts or tour tourism is one of the deciding factors as to why people visit a city — in Las Vegas’ case, for the residencies that fill the theaters year-round. Citing the cultural impact of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour, Expedia’s survey found that nearly 70 percent of survey respondents say they are more likely to travel to a concert. With 300,000 to 400,000 people descending on the Strip for New Year’s Eve, a large number of them will be packing the shows with entertainment as a top driver.
Here are the best concerts and parties in Las Vegas during New Year’s weekend, from Post Malone at the new Fontainebleau to Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson.

Malone performs two consecutive history-making nights at the resort’s 3,800-seat Live Nation BleauLive Theater. “New Year’s Eve is iconic in this city and I’m excited to ring in 2024 as the first headliner at Fontainebleau Las Vegas,” says Malone, whose fifth album Austin debuted in August at No. 1 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. In June, the 10-time Grammy nominee received the Songwriters Hall of Fame “Hal Davis Starlight Award.” The theater features a large GA floor, the best place for a dance-party vibe when Justin Timberlake took the venue for a test spin at the resort’s invite-only opening.
